The parking garage is part of THP’s preconstruction activities to prepare for the hospital’s major health infrastructure renewal plan, Trillium HealthWorks, and is designed to meet both current and future parking demands. Trillium Health Partners Reopens Urgent Care Centre at Queensway Health Centre
The Urgent Care Centre will reopen on January 29, 2024
(Mississauga, ON) Trillium Health Partners (THP) is reopening its Urgent Care Centre at Queensway Health Centre on January 29, 2024, at 3 p.m., expanding access to quality health care in our community.
The Urgent Care Centre will operate daily at Queensway Health Centre, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., to provide care for individuals of all ages with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, such as sprains, minor burns, broken bones, and fevers. The hours of operation align with demand from the community, when other community care options are not as readily available, when Emergency Departments are most used, and the time of day with the highest volume of patients.

(Mississauga, ON) – Premier Doug Ford, Minister of Health Christine Elliott, Solicitor General Sylvia Jones, MPP (Mississauga-Erin Mills) Sheref Sabawy, General Rick Hillier, Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Dr. Lawrence Loh were on hand as Trillium Health Partners’ (THP) mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Mississauga opened at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) campus. A partnership between THP, UTM and Peel Public Health, the clinic will administer up to 2,000 vaccinations per day by the end of March and can grow to 4,000 per day in subsequent phases. Mississauga Long-Term Care nurse becomes first to receive vaccine in hard-hit Peel
(Mississauga, ON) – Today, exactly nine months and 17 days after Trillium Health Partners (THP) treated its first patient with COVID-19, the hospital administered the first COVID-19 vaccine in Peel Region. Province Announces Plan for Accelerated Build of Two Long-Term Care Homes in Mississauga
Trillium Health Partners’ new health centre location selected as site for faster build and more beds
(Mississauga, ON) – Today, the Ontario government announced the launch of the Accelerated Build Pilot Project that will expedite construction of long-term care homes in large urban centres, including Mississauga. The project is designed to address the current lack of access to long-term care in this community and add capacity in hospitals where many patients are waiting for long-term care placement. The Minister of Long-Term Care, Dr. Merrilee Fullerton, announced that two new long-term care homes will be developed and operated at Trillium Health Partners’ Speakman Drive site in Mississauga..

Community Answers the COVID-19 Call Raising $5 Million for THP
Outpouring of support includes handmade signs, warm meals and celebrity encouragement
(Mississauga, ON) – The strength of community is on full display at Trillium Health Partners (THP) as more than $5 million has now been raised in cash and in-kind donations to support the hospital’s fight against COVID-19. Trillium Health Partners Foundation (THPF) and THP are beyond grateful for the rapid and generous community response that is enabling the hospital to provide exceptional care during the pandemic, while also supporting our frontline workers and health care providers.
Given the unbudgeted expenses incurred by the hospital to prepare for COVID-19, including to add intensive care beds, medical equipment, and the need for personal protective equipment (PPE), the Foundation called out to the community and the response was overwhelming.

Trillium Health Partners building temporary Pandemic Response Unit to be able to care for more patients during COVID-19
(Mississauga, ON) –Trillium Health Partners (THP) has started construction of a temporary Pandemic Response Unit on the grounds of Mississauga Hospital to be able to care for more patients in response to COVID-19. The modular unit is being assembled as part of THP’s COVID-19 Pandemic Response Plan to increase capacity for a potential influx of positive COVID-19 patients the hospital anticipates they may be admitting in the weeks ahead.

Trillium Health Partners Announces Additional Actions under COVID-19 Pandemic Response Plan
Urgent Care Centre at Queensway Health Centre temporarily closing to create additional hospital beds
(Mississauga, ON) – As part of continued efforts to respond to COVID-19, Trillium Health Partners (THP) is taking additional actions that will add more hospital beds, increase testing and assessment capacity and provide more virtual care options to prepare for an influx of COVID-19 patients.
Effective Tuesday, March 31 at 5 p.m., Queensway Health Centre’s Urgent Care Centre (UCC) will be temporarily closed to maximize acute and critical care space across all THP sites. Patients requiring emergency care are being asked to go to their nearest Emergency Department or call 911.
