Trillium Health Partners reimagines high-quality, connected care for a rapidly growing community

New Annual Community Report highlights key achievements from the past year

MISSISSAUGA, ON (June 9, 2026) - Trillium Health Partners is reimagining how health care is delivered for a rapidly growing and increasingly complex community - moving beyond hospitals as buildings and toward a more connected system of care that brings together hospital, home, and community-based services.

Over the past year, Trillium Health Partners supported nearly two million patient visits, completed more than 74,000 surgeries, and performed more than 800,000 diagnostic exams while continuing to invest in AI-enabled tools, digital innovation, and more connected care that will shape the future of health across the region and beyond.

This includes ongoing progress toward The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital and Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children, and the future home of The Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre - part of a broader effort to expand access to care and modernize how care is delivered for a growing community.

“We are reimagining health care beyond hospital walls, building a more connected system that helps people access care faster and closer to home,” said Karli Farrow, President and CEO, Trillium Health Partners. “This work is focused on making care more coordinated, specialized, and better connected across every part of the health system. I am deeply grateful to Team THP, our partners, donors and community members whose commitment and collaboration are helping make this future possible.”

The 2025–26 Annual Community Report highlights how Trillium Health Partners is advancing its Plan to 2030 to create a more connected, specialized and digitally enabled health system, including:

  • Integrating inpatient women’s and children’s services at the Credit Valley Hospital to support more coordinated care and prepare for the future Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children
  • Leading more coordinated palliative care for patients and families through the Mississauga Health Integrated Palliative Care Program, with 90 per cent of patients receiving end-of-life care in their place of choice in its first year
  • Receiving provincial approval to expand radiation treatment services, enabling care for more than 7,200 patients annually closer to home
  • Being recognized as one of Canada’s Top 40 Research Hospitals for the third consecutive year, reflecting the growing impact of research embedded in patient care
  • Launching the Trillium Operations Centre, bringing together care teams, real-time information, and AI-enabled tools to support more coordinated care

The report also highlights the continued generosity of the community, with $87 million raised through philanthropy to support patient care today while helping build the future of health care.

“Together with our donors, community members, and our hospital team, we are turning bold ideas into real impact for patients and families,” said Caroline Riseboro, President and CEO, Trillium Health Partners Foundation. “This support is helping expand access to care today while building the future of health care not only for the community we serve but for millions in the west GTA.”

Trillium Health Partners by the Numbers (2025–26):

  • Nearly 2 million patient visits
  • 251,779 emergency and urgent care visits
  • 74,273 surgeries
  • 810,324 diagnostic exams
