The purpose of this test
Assess your heart muscle for abnormal amyloid deposits using a radioactive tracer and a gamma camera.
How to Prepare for Your Test
No preparation is needed.
You can eat, drink, and take medications as usual.
Wear comfortable clothes with no metal around the chest, such as jewelry or zippers.
What to Expect During the Test
This test takes approximately 4 hours to complete.
There are 3 parts to the test with breaks between each part.
