This program was developed to provide support and education to patients and their family members after they have been diagnosed with coronary artery disease.
Participating in a rehabilitation program can lower your risk of dying, improve the symptoms related to your heart disease (for example, chest pain from angina), improve cholesterol levels, reduce your stress and improve your quality of life. Our comprehensive evaluation and assessment, counselling and education services can help you stop smoking, start exercising, get stronger and lead a healthier life overall.

Preparation for Visit
Please note that due to the high number of patient visits to our hospital every day, you may experience clinic wait times and a delay in finding parking. We encourage you to arrive early and allow for extra time on the day of your appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the appointment will be rescheduled to another day. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Care Team
The cardiovascular rehabilitation program has an inter-professional approach that will build upon the care you received while in the hospital. The cardiovascular rehabilitation team includes Cardiac Rehabilitation Therapists, Medical Doctors, a Psychiatrist, a Registered Dietitian and Kinesiologists.
