Cardiac Direct Accelerated Response Team (DART) supports timely access to cardiology consultations, appropriate treatment and follow-up care for patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
Specific Services Offered
Individual consultation and follow up with a Nurse Practitioner and/or a heart doctor (Cardiologist)
Access to prompt diagnostic testing which may include ECG, stress test, echocardiogram and/or angiogram.
Preparation for Visit
Please note that due to the high number of patient visits to our hospital every day, you may experience clinic wait times and a delay in finding parking. We encourage you to arrive early and allow for extra time on the day of your appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the appointment will be rescheduled to another day. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Care Team
The Cardiac DART team includes an on-call heart doctor (Cardiologist) and/or a dedicated Nurse Practitioner, Echosonographer, Cardiovascular Technologist
